Not quite. The base 2016 GT350 (not the R) could be had without the “track pack” which contained additional cooling. Without that additional cooling, some people were tracking their cars and experiencing limp mode. The track pack was included standard on 2017+

It’s the GT350 tech pack, not the track pack that’s had the most issues. The track pack and the R have cooling components that don’t exist in the regular GT350 tech pack.
