Subaru should take notes. The WRX is properly hideous.

Got damn

It’d be more newsworthy if the report was about Fisker somehow not being trouble. We’ve been reading about them for a decade now and every single time it’s about running out of money, a catastrophic disaster, or something of the sort.

The blob generation of cars. And if you need a specific example, the Hyundai Coupe is probably one of the worst of those.

PPF is actually pretty cool. There’s a shop in Qatar that had a Bentley involved in an accident. The PPF kept the paint fully intact and instead of having to repaint the crashed panel they were able to do just PDR and replace the PPF.

A hub motor strong enough to drag along a fully loaded plane is going to be big, heavy, and expensive. Plus you’d need a battery or capacitors to power it, along with possible upgrades to generators on the plane itself. Not happening, IMO.

Every single time F1 does a big rules change they say it will reduce costs and make racing better, and every single time they’ve done it the opposite has happened.

That took me right back to India’s awesome Peugeot 206 ad:

This. There’s always been a mid-size and a full-size Land Cruiser. This is like comparing the new Lexus GX to the LX and saying it got smaller. It’s a completely different model!

Yeah this. I disagree, but I can see where Brad is coming from and understand his reasoning.

But there is rollover crash protection. Much more than any Miata or S2000. The only thing that comes off are those two tiny bin covers and the whole top actually stays in place. There’s more structural strength left in there than a regular car with an open sunroof.

Yeah! Maybe it’ll convince Merc to bring back the R63 AMG

You’re right, there isn’t any, so long as it’s one person spotting the plane. But if someone pools the sightings of a thousand people, and collate that into a chart showing where you are at any one particular time, then that person is acting as a data aggregator. If he then makes that data available to other parties,

With the top removed the front top of the car including the central pillar in the center looks very beefy. I imagine most tracks will let an owner drive it like that provided they were properly strapped in like they would be in an open top single seater.

I believe this is kinda adjacent to automatic number plate readers and how police can effectively track someone’s location buy buying information from companies aggregating data from those ANPRs.

Not gonna happen in time for those 88 cars, unfortunately.

This bodes well for the LC250 which is probably what’s coming over to our market.

Hey man I’m all for the semis! Delivering goods and produce is much better for the town than a heavy ass car or truck carrying a single passenger 90% of the time.

Yeah but semis are 35,000lbs empty (about 17.5 tons) and 80,000lbs full (40 tons). Divide that by 18 wheels and at best it’s about the same as a 4 ton EV dividing its weight across 4 tires (1 ton per tire), loaded they’re 2x worse (2.2 tons per tire).

Agreed. I clicked 100% expecting to read a story about some girl in an SUV running down a cyclist. This was not at all what I expected.
