But this wasn’t a “140mph” crash. If it was, then the car certainly wouldn’t be in the shape it is. What obviously happened here is the car went end-over-end, which would have bled off a lot of the energy in multiple small impacts, instead of one big impact that would cause the sort of deceleration trauma you’re…
And sounds like certification starts off with teaching people to wear their seatbelts. The front and back of the car are obviously bashed in, but the passenger cell looks fairly intact. You can even see the B-pillar still holding up the roof and presumably the seatbelt attachment point.

I went and found the assembly instructions and the various roll hoops and cage options do bolt on to rigid and well supported members of the tubular space frame.
Anyone care for a Pajero J-Top?
I dunno if you guys will count this as a “driving” song, but the “Result” theme from Wangan Midnight is awesome to hear after you’re done with your drive (or lap session).
> That being said, why did they say no? What a bunch of sticks in the mud.
Isn’t that why Merc got caught so off guard? They skipped a lot of testing and trusted in their simulations, which failed to catch the porpoising...
