So basically Ford is saying their shiny new electric van has less range than the average a commercial van would need daily!

That’s because we essentially run them like steam engines, mostly to keep the radioactive stuff from contacting the outside. If we’re not as concerned about safety then there should be a couple of ways to get more thermal efficiency out of them. =)

Two points:

1) The 2003 and 2004 cars qualified slow because they qualified with their starting race fuel load. If they were allowed to run light they’d be just as fast as the modern cars IMO.

I think that still depends somewhat on the course though. There are some where the 2004 records still stand.

The V10 era was one of F1's best IMO, so there’s no shame in being beaten by those. Even the current F1 cars are barely faster than the 2003-2004 V10s.

This reminded me of one of ASPW’s Q&A sessions where he explained why he doesn’t like using ‘Mogs for overlanding: The vehicle itself is super capable, so if and when it does get stuck it will be *really* stuck, and there won’t be many other vehicles even capable of getting to where it is to help with recovery.

It’s actually the 2018 TLX:

I think Acura/Honda is showing some snark and disdain for its customers with this design too! Case in point: This “new” Integra design vs the 2018 TLX (from/r/Honda):

If she was working PR for Cashapp Red Bull then her job description would almost certainly be to drum up some positive press, in which case speaking with the official event interviewer was something she should definitely have done.

If she was being paid to be there then that’s all the more reason to be professional about it and not be rude to the official press people — which to be fair, she wasn’t guilty of at all.

Just so we’re clear: it’s Megan Thee Stallion’s bodyguards who were being snobbish, elitist, and ignorant here, not Martin Brundle.

Died of cholera and/or dysentery?

Welcome to the annual Jalopnik fight about AWD vs Snow Tires!

Winter tires are good, but AWD with snow tires is

That’s not rude at all IMO, he was just saying how things happened and no foul language involved.

Won’t apply to every AWD car out there, but Evos and STIs have smart center diffs that can and do lock under braking.

Jalopnik actually did an article on some Team O’Neal videos that showed that 4WD does brake better than 2WD in the snow. They tested a bunch of different vehicles and 4WD won the snow braking test every single time.

Yeah your fwd econobox with snow tires is pretty good, but AWD with snow tires lets you do this:

The newborns are now 30! Great time to watch the clip.
