Plus the contemporary 911 Turbo is a better daily (rear seats), and is just as fast if not faster.

I suppose of someone was planning to buy one of these with the express intention of LS-swapping it he’d be better off getting one of the previous-gen cars.
Agreed. Safety barriers are where NASCAR is actually years ahead of F1. SAFER barriers would have been a huge improvement over plain old tires or armco.
Amen to that. I’m surprised Nikki Lauda was among the opposing voices, especially since he’d always been on the side of more safety prior to Halo.
Depends on the result:
That’s assuming he only has PIP (or no-fault) coverage. If he has collision or comprehensive then insurance will pay out regardless of who was at fault.
Ok, so the cops were definitely in the wrong here for operating a drone that close to an airport, but the headline sounds very clickbaity.
That sucks when “comprehensive” isn’t really all that comprehensive.
Yeah axles are definitely going to get twisted, but what’s interesting is that since the Nevera has four electric motors each one driving a wheel I think there would be a bit less risk of actually breaking stuff since there won’t be direct mechanical obstruction.
It’ll be interesting when someone puts slicks or proper drag radials on the Rimac. Both cars here were running Michelin PS4s, which while good are still street tires.
An M Supra with the S58 engine would blow the doors off the Z. And ZF already makes a 6MT so not having the third pedal is just a matter of choice for BMW and Toyota.
The interior of the Z actually looks much improved by using Renault’s parts bin.
Same way Merc is stubbornly sticking to “63" despite the engines being much smaller in displacement now.
Ferrari seems to have built a really good chassis this year, and they could be making the championship a legit 3-horse race with just a little bit more power.
Driveshaft to each rear wheel sounds like this thing could be made to do some crazy torque vectoring!
AFAIK F1 powerplants (obviously including the hybrid systems) are already at 50%+ thermal efficiency.
I think the opposite actually. He took too much account of the Tesla Cult and that clouded his judgement, making him think that it’s just a bunch of people brainwashed into bumping the stock.
It’s amazing as a final rebody for the Aventador, but the 34hp hybrid drive and the resulting 800hp is a bit lackluster IMO.
Far as I’m concerned it’s a battle between two rich assholes, and normally I wouldn’t really care who wins as long as I’m entertained.
Inconvenient, but better than nothing. IIRC the thing with these is that the sensors for each wheel are identical (to make them easily replaceable), and when rotating tires there’s no way for the TPMS to know which is which, short of taking the tires off the wheel to make sure the sensors stay in their respective…
