That is true! I went to the ‘ring two years ago with some friends and we all got our rentals from RSR. I shared a Golf GTI with a buddy and even with just 200hp it was incredibly fun.

Just because something is cheaper to run doesn’t mean it’s cheaper to own or develop. Sure that shape with a narrow front looks cool and novel, but I bet specifically because it is new and novel it will require a lot of testing time to optimize for which will only drive up costs.
You could say that the current state is only bringing traffic level to the days of the 70s and 80s when folks like Dan Gurney were running.

The B58 probably can. If you’ve seen Papadakis’ teardown the block looks really quite robust with a fully closed deck.
