And aero engineers suggest it adds understeer in a corner, instead of providing better balanced grip.

I dunno, down here in San Diego there are protected left turns with dedicated arrows all over the place.
Yep, Jalopnik NEVER shits on Ford.
Patiently waiting for the ID.Buzz to be confirmed (passenger version, not the delivery van). An electric people mover that isn’t just another 7-seat SUV or minivan would be perfect for my family.
Questions about the colors of the indicators? Must be a Torch article. :)
Further odd trivia: I haven’t confirmed this but I’m pretty sure Will Ferrell’s Mustafa in the Austin Powers films is based (at least visually) on Nassir from The Ambushers.
Re: 4th Gear
When I was driving manual, I found left-foot braking occasionally useful when trail braking into a corner. Downshift first with some heel-toe action, then because your right foot is on the right side of the brake pedal, you can transition your left foot onto the left side of the brake pedal. As you modulate and start…
“Yet again a fancy car company is charging more for less, technically. They love doing that.”
It’s more my ignorance of the Goldwing and Honda motorcycles in general :)
Re: 1st Gear: Nissan Profits Down 70 Percent
I had absolutely no idea the Goldwing came with a flat-6. It’s automatically 100x cooler now.
They’re somewhat in the same place that Genesis was when breaking off into their own brand. At first the cars were literally the same as when they were “Hyundai Genesis” sedans. The Polestar 1 is in somewhat the same position, in that even though they are launching a new car, the roots are very clear.
Exactly what I was going to say. Jalopnik is already (rightly) crapping on BMW for their half-assed electrification strategy, because to do BEVs properly you should be starting with a dedicated platform. Cramming batteries and electric motors and the associated hardware into a chassis designed for internal combustion…
Seriously. Deadspin and Splinter formed 2/3 of my daily web routine, with Jalopnik rounding it out.
Flocked. It’s a cutting-edge aero treatment for parts of the car.
Yeah too bad Deadspin’s owners are going to miss out on all that sweet sweet pageview ad revenue today :)
Just two more to add into the ever-raging Chris wars.
After I saw that drifting it was really no surprise to find out Chris Harris was involved. One of the best drifting presenters there is IMO.
