What a fuckin’ one-two punch of articles today. Drew’s Funbag and now this.

Spanfeller / Maidment:

I don’t think I pay for any subscription-based sites. I would gladly pony up for Deadspin 2.0 (+ Splinter 2.0, and Jalopnik 2.0 if necessary). They are (were) literally the websites I spend the most time on, daily, and given how management seems intent on fucking them all up one at a time or en masse, I’d happily

Fun fact: the MkV has a 4in shorter wheelbase than the 86. (The rest of it is slightly bigger though).

Yeah as soon as I saw that I was afraid Deadspin was dead too.

I’m glad they have the option of the two different rear wings. I’m not opposed to race-car style wings like the one on your red tester, but for some reason it just doesn’t flow well with the rest of the car. I much prefer the lower version that is moulded to fit the rear trunk.

Thank you for posting this.

Guess they don’t want their email address published.

One cool little thing was to see that the locking collars of today’s coilovers haven’t really changed at all since at least the 60s. The shock shown there had almost exactly the same setup you’d find on a coilvoer now. I’d never really considered when that design originated, but it has certainly been around for a long

My best friend smoked all through high school and university. She knew I hated it, that it was bad for her, but for the most part we never discussed it. Before her 25th birthday, one day I finally told her look, we’re growing up, do you really want to do this for the rest of your life and accept all the health risks

Let’s not discount that Webb blowing a tire instead of making a tackle on the catch is what really blew the play wide open.

I don't understand, by the accounting in this article the Bears had 6 downs? Someone please explain.

I found that Kinja comments were getting blocked by my pop-up blocker for some reason. Putting in exceptions for all G/O media sites individually restored them in Chrome.

Email sent.

Having your own charging network (or officially partnering with one) is not a pre-requisite to selling an EV. Chevy doesn’t have one (a charging network). Nissan doesn’t have one. Kia doesn’t have one. Your premise is flawed.

Also: Chara is still playing? Is that guy related to Dirk Nowitzki somehow?

You don’t have to be smart to flail around and harp on the one thing that isn’t related to your failures. See: Trump.

Actually a lot of those aren’t half-bad. Honestly I don’t know too many of the MLS teams so most of them I’d never heard.

In regards to MLS names, I suppose “new” also means “new to me” because I haven’t paid a lot of attention to the league....
