The very first link in your story points out that Glen was 49 years old, not 54. Please correct that.

Actually the majority of the article is expanding on that assumed subtext and pointing out that it’s a much more complicated situation than just “only certain people should be allowed to own trucks”. Buy whatever you want, but read the whole thing.

Amazing that there are only 3 on that list that are under $50k.

The community gets asked to post their stories, using the site’s Kinja commenting, and it gets summarized in screenshots, in a slideshow?

The second paragraph begins with “Ford just debuted the 2021 Ford Bronco” but clearly you meant the Raptor?

I’m more surprised it didn’t cross over to Canada at some point while I was still there, which is what I was more afraid of.

1) traveling to Florida from Ontario in 2005, I got a speeding ticket in Georgia. I have still not paid it. I live in San Diego now and I have no idea what would happen if I ever got pulled over in Georgia again.

You can see that the bed sides are only slightly shorter than the roof of the BMW X5 behind it (I think it’s an X5). By extrapolation that puts the hood height (which is higher) roughly on par with the X5's roof. How in the hell is anyone supposed to see pedestrians/kids over that, even sitting up high?

Man, that first screenshot is just pretty damning in my eyes as to how Uber and Lyft can not argue that drivers are not employees. They’re explicitly making you agree to a non-transparent, binding payment structure. You can’t see what adjustments they make, and those adjustments are considered final!

What. In the actual Hell. Is. That. Thing.

Rust comes for everything.

The P1 is by FAR my favorite McLaren, and one of my favorite hyper/supercars of all time. The design is directly responsible for that. I’m on Team Frank here.

If there’s one thing Danny Bahar is known for, it’s never overpromising and underdelivering on wildly ambitious projects.

The rear lights to me draw inspiration from the Bugatti 100P:

Because white for SUVs is the top choice of color in LA/Silicon Valley, plus the space exploration theme.

I disagree! I just built a new front wheel from scratch, and will eventually to the same at the rear. It’s only the second time I’ve done it in 20 years. It’s both somewhat tedious, and extremely satisfying. When you put that last spoke in and it’s all lined up you feel great. Then you remember you haven’t trued it

It would be great to be the first astronaut to break that thing in, but I wonder if they would want to publicly own up to it.

The FD RX7 is “fun but otherwise uninspiring”? YOU ARE DEAD TO ME BROWNELL.

Honestly I’d pay a nominal fee to go to a parking lot and test my own car’s automatic braking system against the fake pedestrian and/or those fake cars/boxes, just to see what it does. I think it would be really illuminating for people to experience what their OWN car does in these situations, rather than just seeing

“Between officially eradicating polo in Africa” should be polio :)
