To be fair, I think he probably suspected he was on borrowed time anyway due to the resemblance between them. It was going to blow up at some point and even Maria noticed the resemblance eventually, which is when she confronted him on it during their counseling sessions.

Every time I hear the name, I’m instantly in the mood for a plate of Migas. Almost to the point of irritation.

My friend went from a catatonic state of nearly crying and swearing off football to getting on top of her bar bench and screaming like there was no tomorrow. I had no horse in the game, so to speak, but I got up on it as well and took in the scene with her! The bar went crazy, needless to say.

I suspect it’s both. There’s a few people out there who know enough by now to go “Hey, maybe I should film this in case something weird or great happens?”

By that logic, the Vikings should be winning a championship in the 2060's or so then?

Can’t seem to post the video on here, but you can find it on YouTube.

I was an intern in Washington DC for a summer, which is when she released a solo album that the local Barnes and Noble near my apartment would play often. I’d hang out there in the evenings sometimes to relax after a long day and catch up on some reading. Her voice still brings me back to those days.

That’s third grade for me right there. Ugh, so sad.

Truth be told, I came here fully expecting the “zombie” and “linger” puns to be out in full force, sadly.

That last season for shows always throws out the game changers.

Are him, Nancy Travis and the rest of the cast out on the streets starving these days or something? Maybe we’re off track here somehow...

Kudos to anyone that remembers both Teen Angel and You Wish (particularly the later, which I also associate with Van Dyke even though I watched Coach in prior years).

One time, the show inspired me to ask my mother “Where’s my sperm?” That was an interesting conversation.

When I had cable in the late 00's/early 10's (so weird to say that now), I would binge watch the Cheers reruns late at night on Hallmark if I was trying to get to sleep. It was nice to be reminded of how great the show was back in the day.

I think Comcast, or other cable and satellite providers for that matter, could actually have a lot of subscribers come back or stay on if they invested in an attractive UI system. Of course, that probably involves them spending money, so...

This might explain why I have both Weezer and some Depeche Mode under the “Alternative” label in my iTunes library.

I started using Spotify’s Discover Weekly playlist when my musical discoveries were becoming a bit stagnant in recent years. Granted, you have to dig through the weeds a bit to find the gems sometimes each time you play it. But I’ve definitely found more than a few great songs on there that I never would’ve come close

You forgot to add some asterisks and something about shaking a fist at a cloud. ;)

That’s a lot of artists too. Dave Grohl was another example of someone who claimed back in the day that the words were secondary to whatever melody was in their head. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the norm for a lot of singer or songwriters, actually.

Yeah, the lack of locations selling CDs definitely plays a role too. I’m lucky that I live in an area that has a few record stores left and a lot of second-hand book stores that sell used CDs and such. That’s often the way I’ll look for stuff as of late.
