I've come around to the argument of Johnson after seeing what he's done since and before that decision, so I agree with you. In terms of newer directors, yeah… if any sort of franchise were to warrant a risk or chance in having someone do the films, it'd definitely be this one. But the pick of Trevorrow does still

Yeah, a few people here have recommended Brick, which I still have to look into. The other films I might have to check out as well, just to get some sort of background on the decisions for hiring them.

Meant the series, but I can buy the tank argument now that I think about it…

YouTube… now!

Before 2008: Guys, guys… there's going to be very minimal CGI in this one! Like the older movies!

The Hangover Part II on the other hand… yet again, maybe they should have just inserted the terrible third movie as the middle one?

I started pulling off the white dinner jacket for weddings recently. It does seem to come across well.

lmfao

I wasn't born yet.

The freaking CGI monkeys get a pass here too??

I'm stealing "And we deserve to die." for ending hot takes of my own. And for group texts with my high school friends.

That's the same thing that we all learned in MacGyver: Lost Treasure of Atlantis.

Suppose we need to destroy copies of Dumbo now…

Hipster cred. If his films make millions, then he can't possibly be any good. Need to go to those small theaters that show indie and foreign films only!

Oh gosh, I forgot about that! That's what this place is for though.

The scene on the rope bridge alone is better than anything that came afterward. Maybe?

The fridge part didn't bother me at all really, especially after knowing the Back to the Future connection there. The whole reasoning behind the you-know-whats though at the end kind of threw me in a loop though. As if they couldn't go all the way and just say what we all knew it was! (can't find spoiler tag, haha)

That can't be real. Can it?

That'll definitely play a role. Associating media with certain events of people is like that for all of us as well, I'm sure.

I'd have to watch them at the same time to make sure, but I can see why people might choose The Last Crusade. Sean Connery, the humor in parts, the at times emotional final act (father-son deal, the knight, maybe assuming it's the final movie, the faith/Christ connections, etc.
