Not hard to top Battle Born at all, although there's a few good tracks on there.

Isn't the song a singalong-type one whenever it comes on in the bars of the UK?

The Real Killers, mind you…

I can pull off the White one at weddings (and it's always a hit), but pink might be stretching it a bit.

Reflektor was the, what, fourth album? So at some point after the first few, the hipster cred had to start dying down… started with Reflektor and is rapidly expanding with Everything Now.

I tried reading that review for about 20 seconds, then pretty much stopped when the word "hipster" wouldn't stop repeating itself in my head. Skimmed through the rest.

I've only seen them once so far around that same time, but it was a lot of fun for me too. I was up front and got to hit the open guitar strings on Win's guitar during the end of Neighborhood, and also shook hands with Regine before the encore. Songs like Rebellion and Reflektor absolutely killed too.

I don't even know if U2 went all "disco" on Pop either. The first three tracks had some more prominent electronica in the dance vein (Discotheque, Do You Feel Loved in a more subtle way, and especially Mofo), but that was almost it for the album. Maybe the Village People video just threw people off though?

Digipaks in general have thrown me off over the past five years or so for the new releases… I miss the old plastic, darn it!

Yeah, the Gyro's alright, but I definitely go for the cheeseburger, lol. Not at UWM now, but went for a year back in the day. Still get back down to Milwaukee every so often for other reasons though, so it's nice to stop by places like that for the nostalgia factor too.

Yes!

There's a Greek Gyro's place in Milwaukee I stop at every chance I get just to have their double cheeseburger meal. They put some Mediterranean sauce on it that goes in their actual gyro's and it's one of the best things that's ever happened to me. Combine that with the French fries and Mountain Dew, and I'm full for

Thanks for sharing! Yeah, I'm about 5-6 hours south of the border, depending on where I'd be heading. I've heard of Moosehead though and I also live in a big enough area with probably more than a few import liquor stores around, so maybe I'll look into some of those.

Reed definitely did a swell job on his own for Perfect Day. Definitely would've been interesting hearing Bowie's take on it. I suppose the closest we can come to that is hearing Bowie contribute some brief vocals for the BBC cover version years later…

Maybe Bowie was the one that chose not to get in the way, ultimately? His vocal is prominent enough in that part of the song anyway.

I wore a sweater and button down next to a guy dressed as a cowboy and another dressed as Superman at a show I saw three years ago. Needless to say, those were the two they brought up on stage at one point during the show and not me!

For me, it was more of a pain with tagging than anything. Having to make sure the tags read "disc 1 of 2", having the album not read "Reflektor Disc 1" when ripping, etc.

Is this the bizarro world? Pitchfork doesn't like an Arcade fire album?

More drinkable than most American beers though (which doesn't say much, but yeah). I probably prefer it over the Molson products I've had too.

I was going to say "What is this, the 1800s?"
