My friend had a program at his middle school called G.R.E.A.T. - Gang Resistance Education and Training. He told me that after they had their graduation, all the graduates went bowling… including kids who were actually in gangs at the time.

I had suggested somewhere else years ago that these programs might be more effective if they're given to kids when they're older. However, someone pointed out that the reason it wasn't was that this type of education makes, say, teenagers a bit more curious as to what these drugs are and makes them even more curious…
