I had brand loyalty to Subaru in 2009 when I went new-car shopping. My mom had had 2 Subarus in the ‘80s and ‘90s; my brother had one in the early aughts, and my parents bought me one for my first car when I was in high school, so it seemed like a good starting point.

Used to be a big Nissan guy. Thought they were the shit.

Then I realized that almost every brand beyond a certain point, ends up becoming obsessed with money and the profits needed to keep it afloat and to line the CEO’s pockets.

Now the only brands I truly love are off the beaten path, such as Cisitalia, Elfin,…

I’m not loyal to any brand, but I’ve got ones that are on my “hell no” list, and others that are on my good side (Mazda, Nissan).

Clearly the new car name will be Karma Karma Karma Karma Karma Chameleon.
