ok this is the last comment I’ll write on this BUT it is an interesting question of how authorship influences how we interpret art.

I blurted this out when he said there were “books and manuals” that said we test too much. What fucking books and manuals? Please, I actually want to know this. But I also know this is a rhetorical question because these books and manuals don’t exist.

I watched the entire 30 plus minutes. At one point it went from horrifying to hilarious, just how stupid he is and how easily Swan would catch it and correct him.

Exactly, you can see just by looking at the black woman’s face (eyebrows), that she is reacting to the white woman misreading the t-shirt’s intent!

I am not sure why so many people are claiming this could be interpreted as a conservative cartoon making fun of BLM and people who wear masks. It’s very clear from the facial expressions with whom you’re supposed to sympathize, and it ain’t the white anti-masker.

I guess I’m not shocked that some White people find this offensive because we are the most fragile people ever, but I thought it was pretty on-the-nose.
