I always thought the Bachelor/Bachelorette show wasn’t about the ‘love/win’ at the end, but about allllll the eliminations, ie break-ups, leading up to it. Given the weeks of watching contestants get the boot, it seems to me this is why people watch: who didn’t measure up, and why.
