Well, for one, my father just got an iPod. I really don't want to fool with Wine for him.

Call me old-fashioned, but I've never seen the appeal of transparent, floppy, spherical, etc. windows. The "Windows Classic" look has always just worked for me.

Maybe I don't get as much as the typical office worker (I run a business, so who knows: 300-500 non-spam emails per week)... but I just don't see the big time-waste.

Fairly big Mint flaw... they round all balances to the nearest dollar! So, I want to use it to see all of my credit card balances so I can pay them off... and that's impossible now!

I voted for Excel, but I am actually trying Mint. Does anyone know any way to do the following:

VOTE: Microsoft Excel

I just downloaded the setup from one of the links above, that seems to be working. Their actual *site* seems to be down.

I used to need to nap around 2.30pm or so almost every day, and I hated it. I don't know, I just feel like junk if I sleep during the day at all.

Hmmm, from their readme.txt:

Linux gurus will probably snark at me here, but bear with me. I actually really want to dive into the Linux world.

Well, let me say my frustrations with Samba was it had no easy to use interface that I could see. It seemed to have some zany web-based interface, but no real GUI.

Hmmm... interesting. I'll always be a Windows guy. But I wanted to jump into Linux (of some flavor) for less important backup and "playing around" machines. I know my way through Windows very well- I'm not a top-level expert though.

Are either of these essentially a proxy, meaning my IP will remain private from who I am downloading it from?

I recently got volumouse... I don't see an easy way to mute/unmute. I thought it was obvious that by pressing down on the mouse wheel, that would be done.

Actually, IDrive and MercuryPDX... Windows Mobile 6 beats the heck out of 5. Massive improvements. I have a Samsung i70, but MotoQ is good too (no stylus, smaller screen- but that works for some). Everything ships with version 6 now, so don't let the mistakes of 5 dissuade you.

Can someone answer me this... I thought sniping was impossible now? I thought eBay let you enter your maximum bid (in secret) and it then entered bids for you at the lowest winning amount possible, until it hit your maximum?
