Well, I think that was kind of the given - reliable - because people wouldn’t default to Toyota otherwise. And, unlike a lot of other marginal GM products, the Corvette has been pretty damn reliable (albiet, with questionable interiors) for many years.

Indeed. I learned to drive stick on an first-gen Datsun Maxima. The thing was a sleeper, four-door 280Z back then. Now? Good Lord, I have no idea. I can’t figure out what the target market now might be for that model, with that CVT, and general lack of direction. It was only a short time ago, that it was considered

Funny. I know a couple other friends whose entire families have always been, and still are Toyota people. I think more than anything else, Toyota is just the defacto-standard for ubiquitues-not-really-give-a-shit transpo’.

I’m not a brand loyalist, per se, but I also agree on the Nissan thing. We have an old Titan which keeps on ticking, had a G37, which was a great bang for the buck. And I grew up with various Datsun and Datsun/Nissan models.

For some sad souls, even the best attempt at flattery still winds up being insulting.

Honestly, much more of a GLA AMG competitor. I’m not really sure the Macan has a direct competitor, other than some of the other Porsche cars. Perhaps, the X5 M - but that’s still a larger, heavier third-row model.

I saw that same plane at LGB. Really neat to see one in the BOEING livery. I still prefer watching the C-17’s scream in and out of the airport, however.

Are we certain he didn’t say: PEPPERMINT ROLL!!!!

No shit. There was a reason why all those kinds of cars were called the “Killer B’s”.

I thought Bill Cosby liked things that put out.

I’ve never driven a car that which I felt was “too much car”. Sportbikes, however, are another story...

Was that because it also has “Land” in the model name?

What if the bioweapon attack occurs on the inside.

I couldn’t agree more. Your gf does it best to me, too.

Mini retractable windmill.

I doubt it’s a requirement, other than the fact that it’s simply necessary to hold the wire in place. They must not have wanted to fuse or otherwise permanently attach the wire to the glass, itself, in the event that someone needs to replace a broken windscreen. But, still, it would seem that they could have pioneered

If ever there were to be uniforms designed to perfectly exemplify the quality of the team wearing them, wouldn’t these be it?

Of course. That’s why it’s there. But you have to figure it’s quite low-voltage, so why couldn’t they have employed a much smaller gauge wire - also NOT encased in thick black plastic. Just poorly executed.

Really? The windshield is bigger than Oprah’s ass, and they couldn’t find a way to minimize this???

I think most of us agree that it’s not the sweetest looking girl at the dance. But that is 100% not the point. Knowing many people who already own the Model S, and from every single thing I’ve read from so many others who also own one; cross-shopping other premium brands based on looks was never (ever) in the cards.
