What’s “blungled”?

Considering the supposed power of that engine, plus AWD, that 0-60 time doesn’t necessarily seem all that great. How much is that model supposed to weigh? Isn’t it in the very low 3,000lb range?

And it’s not “handicapped” - it’s “handicapable”.

I wouldn’t be able to agree with all of that, considering the S-Tronic models I’ve driven. They didn’t particularly impress.

Good read. Heartening story. I went down a number of times during my sport bike years. I know the precise feeling of going from upright and tight, to sliding down a road with a bouncing piece of machinery all too well.

Oh hells no! Coming from LA, that stuff you’ve got there in ChiTown is NOT Mexican food. And, yes, I know, there is all kinds-a-Mexican food. But that? NOPE. But I never had time for that, because there’s too much other damn good food there, anyway.

Being that time travel is not real, I’m fairly cool with immediate suspension of disbelief, just as long as the overall story arc is strong. And in that case, it was pretty darned solid.

Yeah, that’s true. He was kind of a little bastard mother fucker.

Was never clear about the “indie” hooplah, before I watched Looper. But I’m a convert. That’s an excellent movie, with almost no major shortcomings.

I’ve watched it a number of times, and it improves with each viewing. Hardly perfect, but overall, such a neat movie which is well made and well acted.

“Worst Ever”...someone might take issue with that statement.

Not sure whether I would give a damn. Audi does the ZF 8AT as well or better than anyone else. Whatever fractional performance advantage of the dual clutch would easily be mitigated by the much more everyday livability of the 8AT.

I assume “Chai-Latte” is the name of the color of that new Infiniti.

For me, it’s all about the power. But that’s because I spend a ton of time behind a relative’s GLA AMG - this thing’s cousin. And THAT car is a damn awesome time, and a totally practical hatch. Expensive? Damn right. But it should be. And, you’re right about this Infiniti’s pricing. It doesn’t know what it is.

Too much power would clearly spill your tea on your skirt.

You made a grave mistake. You wrote that we would be interested in this thing. Then you wrote that it would have nothing more than 2000-era Honda Accord power. Pick one, not both statements.

It rarely would. The engines are almost never under the same thrust that they are upon takoff, while still on the ground. Once in the air, they throttle back quite substantially.

Didn’t these guys also unionize?
