Indeed. However, in that case, there are literally countless airports around the globe which afford you the same. If you’re headed west from LAX, then you just leave and ocean is all you see. But it is kind of neat if you’re going east, because then you can to circle back over the coast line.

Besides, Nissan already offers two mooshy-smoothy FWD vans by way of their Pathfinder and Murano. Did they need a third?

I never had my STi long enough to truly test the limits of durability. But while I had it, it was solid. It burned more oil than I would have expected (even knowing the turbo causing some of that) and the shitty radio would arbitrarily reduce in volume at times - which was more of a favor than a curse, again because

LAX has some cool features. Not the least of which, is one of the best approach paths of any major metro airport. You get a nice long tour of the entire south LA county, as you slowly descend. Always feels so cool, when coming home from abroad.

Ah, yes, that’s where they sit when they delay every single flight because of fog.

Tell me that’s a slide. It is, right. Say it is.

Yeah, in that case, I’m not able to help. I don’t really know. I think, there is solid evidence to support the claim that many German cars tend to be over-engineered, with those assumed consequences. But the flip side, is anecdotally, we’ve had perfect luck with BMW, Mercedes and Audi in our extended family, as well

Yep. So that’s it. Snow or gravel, I guess, is where that feature shines. We don’t get to have snow (or rain) in SoCal...

Well, I think certain women, shouldn’t be President.

No idea. Probably pretty good, being that pure FWD is certainly better than pure RWD in the snow, and the Mercedes adds 50/50 AWD if it has to. Certainly, the Subaru AWD is still one of the best in the world. While mine never saw the snow, I did happen to own it through the last major rain events we had in SoCal,

Holy Christ! North of $30K? That’s almost as much as it was new. I sold my (very low mileage and totally stock) ‘05 for $20K, but that was almost five years ago. I should have simply held on to it...

Nice. However, I’d personally call the 2015 model the “Really, Subaru?”.

You know what? While I haven’t yet driven (I intend to) the new S3, literally everything I’ve read about it indicates that the handling is sublime. It’s one of the few Audi models which doesn’t under-steer like crazy. As far as the CLA AMG, I actually have substantial seat time in that, as a relative owns one. That

Excpet, all the news, and all the facts, indicates that the Carson deal has been, and still is, nothing more than vapor. That’s never going to happen. The most likely outcome is still Rams in Inglewood, alone, or with the Raiders as second tenants.

Jesus totally agrees, that is terrifying.

I’m sure, so is riding in a hearse. You can turn in your Jalop card on your way out, thank you.

Indeed. I think Subaru is simply fine with letting the STi idle for as long as possible. That sport model is such a small niche for them. Whereas, BMW M, Mercedes AMG and Audi S/RS are substantial portions of their entire model line-ups.

You’re a progressive loon, son. He’s paying what he wants, and offering work to whomever need it. If it’s not enough money, they can seek additional or alternative work elsewhere. The taxpayers have absolutely nothing to do with his successful business, and his corporate business and thousands of franchisees pay large

I know for an absolute fact (friend used to work in the upper ranks at FoMoCo) that the entire line of Ranger trucks are used as loss-leaders, to ultimately get guys into F-150 models (which are not surprisingly high margin kings).

Blob eye? That’s new to me. You don’t mean the earlier bug-eye, right? Visually, I think the old bug-eyes were the absolute best. But I digress. 2004 had no radio, and actually lacked quite a few other mechanical advantages of the 2005, which did have a “radio”. It was literally the shittiest thing I have even
