When I was a kid right out of high school I worked at a hardware store briefly. This was before everywhere had barcode readers so every piece of inventory had to be hand priced with a label gun. We had a big book with every product in it that listed the item’s shelf price right next to the item’s cost.

Sir Terry always gets a star.

Yup. There’s a few items I go to Dollar Tree specifically for, but many other things I would never buy there. Particularly when you go to a regular store and see basically the same item at a lower price. I’ll use the example of 2-liter Shasta soda. 1$ at Dollar Tree, but at WinCo a couple blocks away it’s .79¢ for the

I’m not trying to keep Burton from the roll. I think he would be fine, and he’s got both a genial demeanor and a lot of trust capitol that some of the other options (cough cough mayim bialik cough cough) don’t really have. The problem with LeVar is that a substantial minority of viewers didn’t think he did a great

I still say the new host needs to be a beloved, charismatic and funny Canadian.

As far as I know, you are correct. The good news is the dub is pretty decent.

When I was in high school I had an ancient old International Scout that I drove everywhere. It had one of those old style fuel pumps on it that had a glass bowl (looked like a shot-glass) on the bottom containing the fuel filter with a little stirrup and screw that held it on.

When I first came across it many moons ago I bought the DVDs. Then I watched the whole thing subbed (my preference) then immediately watched it again dubbed hoping to make sense of it. Then again subbed.

After this complete and utter fiasco of their own making, the only way to get out of this with their foreskin intact is to choose a host who is not only beloved and charismatic, but who’s integrity is unimpeachable.

I actually ran across the live action Great Teacher Onizuka starring Takashi Sorimachi before I even knew about the anime. They’re very different animals. There’s also at least one related movie that I’ve seen.

Ugh. Fake “patina.” That’s not how vehicles of that era patina.

She died in 2016 at the disappointing age of 60.

I rode Triumph triples for a quarter century. They all could get by with three gears: First (launch) Third (fun) and 6th (Highway.) Easier for Tech to check the mechanicals, a more robust transmission.

(Kim McGuire was actually rather pretty. That face was just cosmetics and facial contortion.)

54-55 is the new Thirty-Something.  (I’m barely 54.)

I would watch religiously if Ryan Reynolds hosted Jeopardy.

Yes. Halle Berry is 55, or just about exactly my age plus or minus a year.

I’m gonna do my damndest to see this in the theater opening weekend. I was stoked about Black Widow then really disappointed when it turned out to be basically Captain Marvel levels of meh, but this is looking pretty decent and unless I hear really crappy reviews early on I want to give it as big an opening weekend as

It was what it was. Unfortunate, but not uncommon at the time. I later found out my best friend’s aunt was dating him at the time. Which, to be fair, could have been said about a lot of people’s aunts.  He had side pieces on more sides that exist for most people.

Perhaps the solution is to make everyone have 3-speed transmissions?
