That's a way to cope on an individual level. Not a way to solve the problem on a systemic level.

This is interesting. I take the point that the original definition is very limited (the work of an individual person to manage their own feelings), and that it’s been expanded far, far, far beyond that original definition. I think there’s value in having defined, specific terms for things like this.

FEMINISTS CANT TAKE A JOKE AMIRITE???

It's called a hypnic jerk.

Yuuuup.

Man, I don’t know when these stories started getting out of hand, but this contest is a lot less fun when the majority of the comments are overly long,  obviously fake, and extremely poorly written.

In all honesty, that doesn’t matter. Sure, their choices got us to where we are as a country. But you can be a useless crybaby and point at how mean and stupid Trump voters are, or you can FUCKING LEARN SOMETHING about what happened in 2016 and make sure it never happens again. It might make you feel better to lay

Then you didn’t read a single other thing I wrote, and you’re part of the problem.

Blaming voters for not getting excited about Clinton instead of blaming the Clinton campaign for not generating excitement is sort of like blaming a dog that jumps up to snatch food off the table for being greedy instead of blaming its owner for doing a poor job training it.

I feel like “swearing in front of children” is so far down on the list of things to worry about these days that we can just consider it a non-issue from here on out. It’s not like they don’t all know the swears already anyway.

Now playing

The whole point of this sad little discussion was me illustrating the fact that your folks are likelier to waste your damn votes than mine. But definitely don’t let any pesky fucking facts try to dissuade you from believing your third way fairy tales.

What, no response?

LOL, ok.

A greater proportion of Bernie supporters in 2016 went on to vote for Clinton than Clinton supporters in 2008 went on to vote for Obama. It’s been shown time and time again that progressive policies are winning issues, but getting the Democratic party on board with those policies is like pulling teeth. If anyone isn’t

You’re explicitly not on my side, and it’s folks like you that are ensuring Republican wins. I’ll direct my anger where I please.

Where or not you personally agree, all of the actual DATA shows us that elections are not won by persuading the center. They’re won by activating the base.

This is terrible advice. Advocating the policies that Ocasio-Cortez is advocating is not “going futher left” so much as it is providing the kind of coherent narrative that is necessary to move toward the world as it should be, rather than putting up with the milquetoast, centrist status quo that gets trampled every.

A larger proportion of Bernie supporters went on to vote Hillary in 2016 than Hillary supporters went on to vote Obama in 2008. There’s really no honest way to pin the 2016 election on Bernie supporters.
