This isn’t the Abuse & Oppression Olympics. Emotional abuse can be just as terrorizing as any/all kind of physical abuse, and it all is based on what the person being subjected to it feels. You don’t get to downplay the pain inflicted on someone else because you don’t feel it’s as worthy.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I’ve been there and it just sucks. One of my kid’s preschool teachers once told me that you have to put on your own oxygen mask first, in order to be capable of helping anyone else. Meaning- take care of yourself first & foremost. It’s not selfish, it’s self-preservation.

Your mental health comes before any familial allegiance. The fact her own grandchildren don’t warrant a reevaluation of her personal politics is enough for you not to concern yourself with her feelings.

Love your mother from a distance. You cannot change people. Only thing you can change is how you choose to deal with them. It’s your mother. She loves you and you love her. You honor her and mitigate your pain by loving her from a distance. You will one day be able to extend grace and mercy to her regardless of her

It’s Taco Bell. I’ve always *assumed* the meats and such were precooked.

Okay, fellow white woman stepping in to hopefully explain to you why Rooo is upset with you, since you can’t seem to figure it out on your own.

Nice.

Serious answer:
Black racism shouldn’t really bother you, since there is no black person whose racism carries enough power to stop from doing anything that white people will allow you to do.

Part of me wants to explain to you that, yes, black people can be racist. And, in fact, if you study the history of this country, it would only make sense that black people become racist, as fear of white people could be seen as a perfectly logical response to SLAVERY, JIM CROW, THE POLICE SYSTEM, THE EDUCATIONAL

“I don’t see color” makes me see red, because it’s the most insidious of the group. Like, if you’ve never thought about culture, it sounds good a first blush, but it’s super, super harmful and an utter lie.

No, I was always like this.

Will ESPN never realize these snowflakes are implacable? They could change their logo to a Confederate flag and their motto to “All lives matter” and these trolls would still howl that the network is liberal.

Kudos to the anchors who stood firm in support of Hill

Really makes you wonder about the morals of that overlapping set of people who say “They know the consequences of head injuries, so I have no sympathy” and those who say “College athletes get a good education, so they shouldn’t also get paid.”

They’re not wrong, though.

Was it intended to be an endorsement of racism or a criticism of America?

Because the contract is a bullshit, team friendly piece of crap that is based solely on draft position and not on skill or performance. He is being drastically underpaid relative to his true value and he had no say in that.
