When Breaking Bad premiered in 2008, the Grand Wagoneer had not yet started drastically escalating in price. Nice examples went for $4-5k, runners went for about $1000 (I bought a rust-free running 1986 with 160k for $900 in 2011, and a stinky 1967 for even less than that). Wagon Master was in business in Texas, but

“ON THIS EPISODE OF ROADKILL, WE GET THIS CORVETTE PULLED FROM A RIVER AND DRIVE IT TO SEMA!”

Well, there seems to be deep Nineties nostalgia these days, so maybe this is normal for the throwback-go-round. It was Street Freak muscle cars five-ish years ago (shackle flips and cheater slicks), so now Pro Street is cool again?

Around Portland, if I spot a late-model car smoking from the tailpipe, 7 times out of 10 it’s got WA plates.

Supracabra

I wonder if the risk is worth the RWD

Did you try just turning the ignition with a screwdriver? My 86 didn’t even need an ignition key, due to the worn tumblers. I just grabbed the switch wings and turned, bringing 129 sweet horses to life.

Camry for a good pun, leaving Siennasfied.

This guy’s some First Class Male

Does that include the bones that they have to ground up?

Read “The Night We Buried Road Dog” by Jack Cady. Validates your entire plan.

Hopefully, when the car is finished, there will be a place for James to ride along.
