@design61: I enjoy a rant when it's well done.
@whitehatspecial: I appreciated your "long post". Good information and well presented.
The legendary Tom McCahill dubbed these tail lights "sparrow strainers". Tom loved Imperials because he felt they were the best handling American luxury cars. It was said that McCahill's endorsement probably generated over a thousand sales a year. Not impressive in volume makes, but pretty good in the luxury field.
@tonyola: A lot of engineering went into the 4 door hardtop version of the Imerial (think Chryslers used the design, too). I loved the way the rear "vent" windows folded. Not many sold, and only used one year, they couldn't have gotten their money back out of it.
@Panhardrod: What a beauty!
I used to think I had an answer for everything. You just proved me wrong.
There are true believers and poseurs given any topic/product/edeavor/sport/religion/on and on and on... It's a shame that we tend to judge any of the above by the poseurs.
@stöke: I could only start another thead to say what you and so many others have said better than I could have. I'm going to just hitch on and let you do the talking.

@alan505: If you really look at that Charger it kind of resembles Ray.
@gm0n3y: If she participates on a Gawker site you can get her email addy. You're welcome.
@LandofMinos. So stupid, he makes the Seppos look like a computer.: Ray's dream of show business died when vertigo kept him form joining the family aerial act with Ringling Brothers.
@BrtStlnd: That's a vision no one needed.
@awwwcrap: If this works (with my tech skills I doubt it), it will explain in Sam's own words.
@Spiegel Hawking: Your theory would make the Grammy awards much more interesting. They could start the show with the most promising newcomer and end it with a firing squad shooting those voted as having peaked.
@Buster Brew: The T&C was big in my family. We didn't own one, but some relatives did and my one aunt and uncle drove them for years. To the best of my memory, the wood was an option starting in '67. Pontiac also allowed you to choose between wood and plain sides.
