Cornering someone in public, in front of a crowd, and hitting them with a surprise marriage proposal is not romantic. It is cruel, and a little bit manipulative ("they'll totally be less likely to say no in front of all these people!"). I really wish this would become A Thing That Never Happens Again.

Public proposals really put women on the spot. I think they're always a bad idea, and more about the guy's narcissism than his devotion.

As a self proclaimed 'bitch' I couldn't agree more. I like to think of myself as a 'good' person who is loyal, honest and willing to do anything for those I love and care for. However if you're looking for someone to tell you nice things, sugar coat and spoon feed you things then you have the wrong person. I feel like

True! If kids are determined to get at something, they will find a way. There really is no such thing as "childproof."

He's so damn sexy in this. I'd only seen him as Sulu before, so I didn't know that as Henry he was gonna make my boxer-briefs drop. Also: funny as hell.

I liked this show, both characters were funny caricatures that were relatable in a lot of levels. And while the initual response of "men guiding a woman" was thrown out, the actual show displayed them a lot more as two flawed people, each in their own way, each learning from one another. Was different and

Why does the world hate me? Fuck. I was totally into this.

I used to love him, but he's proving himself quite the asshole lately. Pro-Mel Gibson, pro-Republican, anti-feminism — I think all those years of drug use have done something to his gray matter.

That is exactly what happened in my own life. I got pregnant and my husband got a huge salary bump because his boss is and Old White Dude who thinks women belong in the home with the family. Never mind that this was the choice we'd made ANYWAY, so that salary bump helped immensely, but...

Word. And it's not just in the workplace. I lost my job a couple years ago and it wreaked havoc on my finances and my sense of self — I always have a job, and being financially stable and self-sufficient is vital to me. But so many people acted like it was no big deal because I had a boyfriend who, I guess they

This observation came while I was watching one of my favorite TV shows ESPNs First Take. I also noticed she was black. I then thought it would be funny to tweet JOKES about that observation. A decision which might be the end of modern comedy.

Obviously we just need to learn to take a joke. God, it's 2014, post-racist, post-sexist America! It's time to laugh at tone deaf, thoughtless "comedy" about rape and slavery!

i call bullshit...aside from the fact you need an app to upload stuff to instagram, you're violating so much HIPAA it's not even funny...clearly you're not a doctor or a nurse or you wouldn't be whining about $ either. honestly i think your making up bullshit claims to get attention on the coattails of this horrific

Are you a therapist or a lawyer? You're aware you're violating all sorts of ethical rules — possibly the law — by discussing your client's case, right? You're doing a disservice to a lot of your colleagues by posting such biased opinions. And furthermore, it's not "cushy" in a mental institution. Please refrain from

Yeah, call me when they offer a doll that isn't white and blonde.

Democrats are cowards, refused to own up to their great accomplishments and ran away from the President for the past four years.

They have destructive relationships, rarely admit they're wrong, or rationalize away evidence or experiences contradictory to their worldview—even if that evidence is right in front of their faces.

At minimum, they could have shot the cast members looking more in character. It would still lack the pop of the original titles, which actually showcased a moment of the characters interacting that was actively funny (Jess's cheerful self-absorption, Nick's put-upon discomfort, Winston's odd enthusiasm, etc.). But the

They really don't. It's funny that that's such a widespread myth, because whenever cases like this happen and Jezebel denizens take issue with all the people talking about what a lucky kid the victim is and point out that rape doesn't stop being rape when the perp is female and the victim male, places like Gawker (not

Really? Ring crevices are caked with dirt and literal shit. I don't think food prep workers should be able to wear hand jewelry because it sounds really unsanitary. Fuck the gloves, just don't wear stuff that holds filth.
