This bride is not on acid. This bride is clearly full of shit.

This right here. Not everyone has access to free large spaces. Not everyone has family or friends who can do things at low to no cost for them. I have family in the restaurant business and they often give deals to family member but food at cost (no mark up for profit) for 100 people still costs at least $6,000. A lot

But the point is that if you want to have a very simple wedding for 100 guests in a city like NYC, spending under $10,000 is very, very difficult. Not everyone who spends more than $10,000 is having an extravagant party.

They are fabulous!

How did you survive that long?!

Potato ricer! Best thing for making mashed potatoes or gnocchi!

According to the inflation calculator I found online your $4000 wedding would now cost $6985.37 and your ring $1309.76. Things are more expensive 23 years later. Also, a lot of the venue halls in my area of NYC cost around $6000 for 3 hours of rental time. That's just for an empty room- you still have to buy/rent

Partly why we are having a wedding in a major city (that I am from - so it's not random) is because it's much more convenient for all our traveling guests. They don't have to rent cars because there is public transit to and from the airport and venue. Furthermore, a lot of guests have friends or family they can stay

Yeah, I want to know if they looked at income vs. money spent vs. debt. My SO and I are having a pretty non-extravagant wedding and it costs more than $10,000 because we are doing it in a major city. We could probably have done the same wedding for a lot less if we were from some other place.

I'm really glad that you didn't dismiss what she felt as being paranoid. I have a had a number of male friends accuse me or other women of being paranoid- that is until we start telling them all of our crazy stories of the times saying "not interested" went bad. Sometimes seeing the shock on their faces as multiple

I can believe that she didn't pay attention to what her lawyers told her and foolishly thought that they wouldn't send a mother like her to jail! But yeah, there's no way that her attorneys didn't explain this to them.

I can't even get my hands into some of my pants pockets because the depth is only 2 inches! Again, not due to tightness but actual lack of pocket.

I was referring to the outbreaks in parts of Africa.

Right, but they can't test the efficacy of the vaccine until there's an outbreak. At least that is what I heard on NPR recently.

I was referring to the outbreak in parts of Africa. It won't look good no matter what: either the medical community experiments on poor Africans or they're giving life saving medice to rich white westerners.

They actually have been working on a vaccine but they can't test unless there is an outbreak. Lucky us, we now have an outbreak.

Exactly. I can give you countless stories of people who met offline and through friends/family/work and still acted in despicable ways. Some people are just asshole and the internet just lets them meet more people.

Yeah, her shows are quite soapy but I am so happy that Rhimes is killing it because it proves that audiences do like female leads and diverse casts. And that those shows can earn a ton of money.

I had a red-eye a couple of years ago that had two really inconsiderate chatters on board. One row in front of me these two middle-aged women decided to have a 2 hour long conversation at normal talking volumes. Worse, one of the woman did not have a seat in her friends row so she stood in the aisle making the sound

I think a big thing is that physical abuse is always coupled with psychological abuse. The abuser makes the victim feel responsible for the abuser's actions. The shame that victims feel is immense. Add to that that the abuser often isolates the victim from family and friends so reaching out for help becomes more
