Depends.
Depends.
head coach Mike McCarthy has publicly pleaded with Lacy to lose weight in the past.
“Hi! It looks like you’re trying to run an A-2 Gap Slant? Would you like help running an A-2 Gap Slant?”
It always struck as one of those awkward matchups that was a rivalry for one team, but not the other.
White Sox fans care a lot. Cubs fans think it’s a fun series.
Take for example the last White Sox WS. There weren’t a lot of stories about Cubs fans actively hating and cheering against the White Sox. Kaminsky is just…
Every team and their fans suck
Yeah, exactly. Max is probably the NL Cy Young, and you can’t trust him to work his way through giving up one run? Dude was rolling in the 5th and 6th. As a Cubs fan, it’s weird and distressing to see a future where Dusty Baker now takes his superstar pitchers out too early.
Since when the fuck does Dusty change pitchers?
And here it is - the single dumbest post in Deadspin history.
You don’t know the half of it!
“I agree with Trent’s position on this and I spent the better part of 40 years not letting something as horrible as child rape interfere with my responsibilities to my football team.”
This is going to go down as the worst era of coaches in NFL history, period. It’s basically Bill Belichick and shit.
Look, this whole thing, everything the NFL does about head injuries is just for show. The “new safety rules” every year are arbitrarily, inconsistently and subjectively enforced.
You see it that way, I see it as trying to keep true to the books bogged down the show.
After last season’s GOT, I don’t want GRR words anymore. Season 6 was great when it was finally uncoupled from the books. The pace picked up and story actually moved forward.
At the risk of tar and feathers: Ok. What if he doesn’t finish the series? What if he drops dead tomorrow and never even finishes Winds of Winter? As an ardent fan of both the books (first) and the series (second), I would still be ok. I’d take the series ending as canon, get on with my life, and be happy for GRRM…
DH is for p*ssies. 9 players. Everyone bats. Done. If a pitcher can’t learn to bat, oh well. If a batter can’t learn to field, oh well.
