Just out of tangential interest, does anyone know how the heck has a barely second-rate and mildly tainted UK ex-politician managed to weasel her way into a commentary position on this mess?

Logging back in for the first time in months to respond to this. Given the somewhat...heated...nature of your original post, I doubt it’ll do much good in changing your mind, but it might be of interest to others who have an interest in the internal politics of a small island off the coast of Europe that is rapidly

I really liked this - a solid 9/10. Couple of minor things like the ‘face’ CGI, and too many clnky knowing winks to the audience.  

I saw it this morning, and it’s great. If there’s any justice, it will make an enormous pile of money, and the thought of that causing these dickheads’ tiny little minds to explode, fills me with a warm snuggly feeling

Did you ever see the ‘Adult Wednesday Addams’ series on YouTube? The premise was ‘what would Wednesday Addams be like as an adult living and working in LA?’ It was pretty good, but got taken down after a ‘cease and desist’. Prbbly still out there in some form or other, though.

I hope you’re ok. Socialisation is a hard thing to break.

It’s more about how social conditioning (politeness and manners) can be exploited by predators, than it is about emotions per se.

Since this has come up, I just wanted to say that I do a lot of self-defence stuff/martial arts type stuff, with a focus on ‘keeping yourself safe’, and one thing I’ve learned is that if something feels off, it almost certainly is, and there’s probably a good reason for it, even if it isn’t immediately obvious.

So I wanted to join in the fun this year, and finally remembered one I can tell, even though it’s slightly anticlimactic.

I would recommend the very readable and fascinating book ‘Telling lies about Hitler’ by UK historian Richard J Evans for those who are interested in this trial. He was one of the expert witnesses.
