I feel a little weird saying this, but the 928 is probably my favorite Porsche. I still want one.

Which 911s will be better on track? Talking the 997/991 compared to the 928? Of course it will be, it’s got two extra decades of development and technology. If you’re talking period 911 v 928, I think it comes down to preference. Period 911 v 944 turbo? The 911 doesn’t have a chance.

Tell that to the PCA guys who track their 928s. Then again, you could day the same thing about modern non-turbo and non-GT3 911s.

I fell in love with this car at its reveal.

The 928 might be slow by current standards, but back in its day it was pretty darn quick.

I loved the 928 (and the 924/944) BECAUSE it was the anti-Porsche. It isn’t so much that today, but it is still my favorite Porsche.

I’ll second the Miura story. There is a fantastic video I cant find of Ferruccio;s son telling the story in Italian with subtitles that is awesome.

also, the panamera is just a 4 door 928

Second the Miura. As a kid, I slobbered over the Countach, had the posters on my wall, etc. The Miura was an ugly fossil. Now I can’t get enough of those beautiful curves.
