It’s funny I saw my ex-husband last Saturday at a memorial for the friend that introduced us. I haven’t seen my ex in 15 years. I’ve done so much cool amazing stuff post-divorce. I have grown into myself. I’m now in graduate school for a 2nd career after having a successful 1st career.

We have a new puppy! I only had to do an 8 hour round trip in the car with my kids and my wee dog to pick her up. And we really didn’t know for sure that she’d be there (the SPCAs in this area are notoriously bad at updating their sites). But we got there before opening and we fell in love and took her home.

Is there any irony so delicious for those of us who had to sit through this soggy rice cake’s 15 minutes in the 90's than Ken Starr getting fired for *not* investigating a sex scandal?

I don’t imagine that is a word used often in conversation by people who are not completely full of shit.

There’s a lot of bad people walking around the world these days but this serves as a reminder that Ken Starr was, is and always will be the fucking worst.

I think I may be too impatient to fully enjoy Mr. Robot. Sometimes it’s just so goddamn slow, and it really gets on my nerves that we can spend so much fucking time on a story line (Joanna Wellick I’m looking at you!) without ever being told why it’s important to the big picture.

This is why as a black woman, i sometimes look at white women and say I have nothing in common with these people aside from a vagina.

Having a white woman have the impunity that white men get is not equality.

Maybe because she’s trigger happy and incompetent, too.

Way easier conviction.

Besides the “shrillness” of her voice, I just think the song is too repetitive. The phrase “It wasn’t looooove” just goes on and on to the point where you get tired of hearing it.

She wants her face to erode at a slower pace.

This is the first time I’ve heard that. Usually applied to snake oil salesman or people selling monorail systems

It is? I’ve never thought huckster had any racial connotations. Hmm.

that is a stupid, stupid, trollish take.

He and his huckster wife are scum.

I thought the same thing. She talks more in her interview about how, after she was raped, she received excellent support from police, family, and friends; had counseling available to her at all times both before and while attending UCLA. Nate Parker’s victim was harassed out of school by him, Celestin, and their cabal
