I saw this last night. My new favorite person is the teenage theater employee who showed unrestrained glee at watching everyone leave the theater, asking everyone how much they liked it. I only wish the couple that left halfway through had stayed until _ that _ scene so I could have seen their reaction.

I was on the fence, thinking this movie sounded pretentious and heavy-handed... but now with this score, I absolutely have to see it.

All I can think of is that great Onion article “written” by Honey Boo Boo, explaining how all of this is going to end very badly

I saw it last night. I don’t “love” it, but I definitely like it. There were less than 10 people in that showing though, while American Assassin was packed.

I’ve been a fan of Aronofsky since Pi but did not care for mother!. It started out intriguing and was hoping for something along the lines of Black Swan. However, I found the final half hour tedious and self-indulgent, and thought it would have been better if they cut out twenty minutes of it.

Seriously, they should insert it in all advertising.

I haven’t seen the movie, but I do know that CinemaScore is the group that regularly gives Happy Madison movies As and Bs, so I wouldn’t read to much into that score.

This only makes me want to see this thing more.

Yeah she’s annoying. Yeah, I agree the song is meh. But watch that video on mute. Clever use of a one long take style shot using what I think is mostly drone footage.

Until she eventually runs for office.

I know you can’t sue for ideas, but the concept makes me think of “Get Em Out By Friday” (a 1972 Genesis song).

Irwin Allen beat them both to it.

This is literally a joke the Dilbert animated series did like 15 years ago

No, which is why I’d go see those movies.

I already have tickets for the TIFF screening! I will let you know if I feel the same!

Can you IMAGINE what Spike Jonze and/or Charlie Kaufman would’ve done with this concept?
