Alconleigh in the first salvo. I’ve been here since before the Kinja revolution and I’m still grey, so I have no skin in the game, but when they ban valued commenters for no reason other than pique, and double down on truly shitty “journalism”, I’m just as glad that I mean nothing to them. This is shocking bad

Not you! You are one of my favorites! I hope you don’t leave forever, but there is room for you here with those of us in the greys.

NonServiam is leaving. I respect that. I’m sad about it, but I get it.

Without the commenters, honestly this site would not be what it is. It’s sad that they don’t respect that at all.

I got banned for expressing my disgust (albeit in a respectful way, at least I thought so). I’ll probably be perpetually in the greys so my days of commenting at Jezebel may be over. That sucks because the people on this site have taught me so much over the last few years and are some of the most intelligent,

the editor thing was a FUCKING shitshow. it’s one of those situations where it’s right on paper, but taking action on it makes you look like THE BIGGEST. ASSHOLE. EVER. if it HAD to be done at all, it should have been done on monday, and written fifteen fucking times better than the one that actually got posted.

The “editor union” piece tipped the scales for me. Thursday and Friday were fucking shitshows and I am so pleased/annoyed/disappointed that I was witness to so much of it. The not understanding that twitter counts as part of your job when you are a public figure was stunning.

Um, yeah.

This whole thing upsets me because I feel like we had such a good thing going on, commenter community-wise, and now it’s kind of ruined. Good people have been banned, other good people are leaving, and it genuinely makes me sad.

Normally I would want to talk at great length about the cinematic masterpiece that is Clueless, but obviously we have to talk about the Gawker shitshow instead.

I mean that girl deserves like 4 paychecks for that show.

god men are so sensitive

Officially Team Pavement.

Aw man, I was 32 when I got married (3 years ago). But my husband was only 27. So can I assume I am more likely to get divorced than he is?

This is why I want to be a brain in a jar with electrodes (maybe hooked up to a printer and the Internet.) i have been thinking about this for years. Thanks, poop-ridden everything for convincing me. SOMEONE BOIL MY JAR.

Was coming here to say I am ”Team Fresh Water”, too. I’m now ”Team Dry Land”.

Nope. Don't curr.

These are our two options???

My thoughts too! Lakes are scary.

Okay, first of all, I get what this lady is saying but if I ever needed an abortion I would much prefer the tone of whoever is talking to me about it to be “casual”. It’s just a medical procedure, it doesn’t need to be a harrowing and incredibly serious discussion.
I get why she feels the need to apologize, but I don’t
