To be fair he also calls them young ladies. I was impressed with how little dehumanizing happened... Which is sad, but I guess any improvement is good.

I often proofread content for my co-workers...when I pointed out her use of “female” as a noun, she practically stared at me like I was growing a second head before her eyes.

I listened to this podcast about the fluidity of language that really helped me get over my annoyance at the “misuse” of “literally” which has pretty much come to mean “figuratively”... but I just can’t get on board with “females”. It drives me nuts.

Well their holy text DID explicitly said they’d be prosecuted for their beliefs. So even though they are the dominant religion in America they have to believe their holy text right!

I remember in Youth Group the church always wanted to think that Christianity was a dying religion. Probably shouldn’t tell them that 76% of American adults identify as Christian.

I do listen to NPR, and donate, and I hate to imagine that they might feel impelled not to have a guest on their shows just because some middlebrow low-achiever with a stick up their ass wants to make a big fuss about how they feel soiled by having encountered pop culture.
