Holy Shit… this is why traffic was backed up yesterday morning for what seemed like “no reason”. It added about 30 min to what should have been a 45min trip.

With all the stupid shit that people start GOFUNDME accounts for… where is the one for this woman? I’m ready to pitch in.
If you are going to play that game, thats fine… but then stick to new cars for comparison’s sake, or throw in the “used” disclaimer. You can get a hell of a 996TT or c6z06 for 40k… I understand this quite well.
How much do you think cutting off 2 doors etc would cost? Building it on the standard focus platform on the normal focus factory line is what allows this car to make “business sense” for Ford.
I’m talking about the GT350.
You should drive one before you say that.
Yup. If they wanted a “custom engine”, they should have called Todd Goodwin at Goodwin Competition. Their billet motors are clean-sheet. Todd is also the silent. little-credited development guy behind a lot of big impressive projects.
Personally I think this thread is hilarious. Every comment OP makes, it becomes more apparent.
Well, I’m 39 and I just bought a low mile 2005 STI and have been continuing to mod it. It replaced the stg 2 ‘04 wrx that my wife drove 80% of the time. She loves driving the STI, but won’t DD it or drive it without me because of the lightweight flywheel and HD clutch, but that will be addressed…
74 Lb ft at 4500 rpm… its going to be pretty damn responsive for a 600cc twin.
Since when does a turbo have to wait until “up top” to make full boost?
If this was local, I’d have a REALLY hard time not picking it up, selling the engine/trans and putting a 347 SBF in it.
Keep in mind that if you supply the parts, the shop has no recourse if there is an issue, and they get stuck in the middle. Plus, when you get into high performance aftermarket stuff, this can turn into a nightmare for shops when someone who doesn’t know what they are doing dumps off a bunch of parts and says “make…
Or the more generic “is that thing fast?”
What is the modern interpretation of the old adage?
Buy once, cry once.
I find the lack of engine bay pics disturbing. C'mon, you can't build the worlds largest displacement FPC v8 and not have exploded engine pics on that pretty blue background.
The teaser video showed something that looked like neither an MT82 or TR6060. Hmmm.
Agreed. I'd bet $ it has a FPC.
