Hello! As a former Hill person, two things:

Mayors should be clear. If Trump attacks their city and threatens to strike federal funds for protecting their own citizens, then the city will not provide any form of police protection for a Trump visit. After all, they need to save that money now.

I might be coming at this slightly uninformed - but wouldn’t a tax on these goods just be passed along to the consumer in the form of higher prices for these goods? So, in effect, we’re still paying for the wall out of our own pockets?

I guess we should be thankful to this officer for not shooting her because she could have spit on him in such a way that puts his life in danger. From recent events, we now know that any plausible danger to an officer (no matter how unlikely) authorizes them use to overwhelming or deadly force.
