The first Obama election I was in Kansas City, MO and I stood in line for an hour and a half, not to vote, just waiting for the correct voter rolls to arrive (3rd times the charm!) it was another hour on top of that before I was even inside. I had the luxury of an office job so I could stay. It may only take five

Voting doesn’t mean simply voting for Republican or Democratic candidates. There are lots of bills and bonds to support or oppose that have a huge and immediate effect on the quality of life in your voting ward or district. You can still ‘protest’ the two party system by voting only on bills/bonds.

“Lots of people will reply to this by saying that they do not vote[.]” I was once this kind of asshole (after Clinton’s first term, I didn’t vote the second time around because I felt so betrayed. And that lasted for far too long, I’m so ashamed to admit.) Then I realized I was part of the problem. I will never *not*

yes not voting is a vote.

It’s almost as if refusing to protect trans people didn’t stop straight men from going into womens’ restrooms to assault children there.

I’m so in awe of her. I heart her.

I saw an exhibit of her gowns (along with some from Princess Margaret and Diana) at Kensington Palace a couple of years ago. Her clothing was gorgeous. The attention to detail with amazing. Margaret’s were also fantastic — a little more playful and daring than the Queen’s. Going from their gowns to Diana’s showed just

He really did love her. He was also an incredibly respected attorney in his own right but he wanted her to shine. He spearheaded her campaign to become Supreme Court justice and apparently did a ton of behind the scenes wrangling with politicians who were opposed.

Martin Ginsburg taught tax law at my law school. Every story I ever heard about him was a positive one. He was apparently a delight to study with, a delight to his colleagues, and generally considered to be one of the best professors there.

Now, see, the Republican National Committee could have taken this chance to wish the Bidens well in their grieving process and their healing as a family or something. But instead they released a statement gloating about how they’re gonna definitely beat Hillary now:

Cup and string. And we have to use code names.

I don’t know. I’m suggesting the put them all in both fields and let parties circle. So I don’t know why that’s so hard for them other than bigotry.

Party 1/Party 2 does seem cold. I like the idea of circling what you want. Bride/groom/spouse.

Why do people seem to think that “I made this work” translates to “Everyone can make this work.”
