Even her action of rolling the windows up makes me ponder: was she trying to silence the noise of the crying baby to try to not annoy other people shopping? Nobody likes the cries of a baby; I believe we all have a primal instinct that makes the screams of an infant impossible to tune out.
I’m really not sure what to think with this particular situation... on one hand I think society has gone overboard with insulating children from every single conceivable danger, while on the other hand it seems kind of lazy and irresponsible to leave the baby behind.
