If you go in for the gameplay, you will have a lot of fun. If you are going in for a robust story, read a Tom Clancy novel and save yourself the frustration.

The gameplay is worth it.

To be entirely fair, the trailers were clearly trying to make it look like this would be their Guardians of the Galaxy, so my guess is people expected a lot more comedy. Dark comedy, maybe, but comedy.

Would have mentioned Mouse Guard, but there’s no combat here, and Mouse Guard is all about them fights for me.

To clarify, Blizzard simply didn’t want the mod to be named World of Starcraft, given the similarity to WoW. It took less than a week to resolve the issue and the mod got the green light from Blizzard and eventually wound up with the far superior “Starcraft Universe” title.

The problem in every film treatment is they put Doom on the back burner in favor of focusing everything on a pretty boring group of superheroes. Make Doom an equal part of the story, and you’d have a much better movie.
