The Mazda6 diesel was a victim of diesel gate. The Jetta TDI passed EPA at the time without SCR and DEF, so Mazda figured they could too.

I can vouch for that Skyactiv comment.
Hand over your Jalop card.
“Definitely some good looking sedans — especially the Camry. “
So that someone like me can scoop up a $38,000 fully loaded low miles Ecoboost for less than half sticker in 3 years.
Thank god we don’t live in a better civilization.
Hard disagree. Being able to access the rear seat via door is fantastic, especially if you’re putting a human back there. Aesthetically I don’t find it unpleasant. And by giving it only 1 rear door, they have sacrificed as little extra weight and cost as necessary for that convenience. Refreshingly logical in a world…
Or 84 month auto loans.
I’m sure declining sales have nothing to do with the $37,000 average car price.
I had one for the last 2 years. It was a great vehicle, and an especially great trip vehicle. The transfer cases/PTU’s are something to watch out for, and the brakes in the earlier models were criminally undersized (but very easily upgradeable.)
Ok, Mazda. I want you to hear me out on this...
I’m going to take lessons at the local Ford dealer, they have a sweet Focus RS to teach me in
Flat-bottoms are in this year
It works for me. Anyone who claims it doesn’t work for them is fake news.
This is a tough one. A car of that age will have known, which he points out, and unknown mechanical issues. $5,500 is a bit too much of a risk on something that could cost $200 or $2,000 in repairs. CP at the asking price. NP at maybe $4K.
As a jalopnik regular I feel we (readers) are contractually obligated to vote NP.
I used to think that way.
You sure are throwing a lot of words at being wrong.
About a dozen years ago I had a 1995 Taurus station wagon. Since then, I’ve had a 1991 Mercedes 560SEL; a 2011 Porsche Cayman; and a 2015 Mustang GT. I still miss that Taurus every single day. I used to be able to fold down the back seats and fall asleep fully laid out in the back of it. It had a rear-facing third row…
Because the engine they put in these was a gadamn gem.
