Opposing gay marriage is bigotry, not freedom. That’s not allowed”

Playing devils advocate, but isn’t imposing your view on anyone just as abhorrent as what they’re trying to do? Everyone loses when people refuse to examine their logic, regardless of how flawed the opposition’s logic is. When mass adoption of a rigid world view happens it isn’t beneficial, generally speaking. I’m not

“Except it isn’t. Any time you go there, some of the money you spend goes from the franchisee to corporate.”

There’s nothing wrong with it, other than it tends to be a bit heavy. The only issue it poses to Lincoln is that any Lincoln on the CD4 platform is based on the bones of a $20k car.

But why not a 3.5 ecoboost? Arguably the best motor in fords pool right now. I can’t imagine an extra half liter of displacement would be a bad thing.

Yet the 3.5 ecoboost is largely unavailable in Lincoln’s lineup. Hell they should offer the coyote as well as the 3.5.

No, that’s why I wouldn’t buy from any of those luxury brands. They’re selling you a cheaper car for a much higher price.

It depends. I can buy a Fusion for under 20k OTD. I have to consider that every Lincoln model that rides on the CD4 platform is, at its core, a 20k car. They share the same bones. Sure maybe the interiors are nicer, the sheetmetal is certainly good looking. As an engineer, I can’t justify a purchase of a $50k car when

Nautilus is also CD4. So it’s the same platform as a Fusion/edge.

Different suspension components? I sincerely doubt it. At most maybe different bushings and possibly different calving in the dampeners. All of the other suspension geometry parts are identical. So really your paying an extra 10k for sheetmetal. Oh and maybe an engine if you spring for the most expensive one, but

“Lincoln has gone out of its way to differentiate between the brands”

Nautilus and Continental both ride on Ford’s CD4 architecture, which debuted in 2012 with the redesigned 2013 Fusion. I’m more than willing to bet the Corsair  will be sharing a platform with the Ford Focus based Escape. Each and every one of these cars can be had in fords lineup for less money with a slightly worse

Was that an automatic? M3? Why?

Catapult? Why use the inferior siege weapon. Did you know a trebuchet can hurl a 90 kg projectile over 300 meters?

Grabber blue is best blue.

The GT-R is almost the more laughably incoherent of the two decades old offerings from Nissan. The Nismo variety GT-R is going to set you back 200k by the time you drive it off the lot. The MSRP is 175k after taxes and dealer markup (nissan dealers are the absolute worst) and you have the worst performance bargain in

I was in the same boat as you BUT I still wouldn’t be able to convince myself to pull the trigger. Why, you ask? Simple, really, Lincoln is selling re-skinned Fords. Their entire lineup rides on some iteration of the Ford CD4 platform (that means Fusion/Edge) and they no longer appear to even have exclusive engine

Interesting counterpoint. I see both sides of this issue; allow me to play devil’s advocate: where do we, as humans, draw the line for what is offensive. Is cross-dressing offensive? If a man wears makeup, is that offensive to women? If a white person decides to wear traditional African clothing, is that offensive?

There’s a chevron station near me that is ALWAYS 20 cents more expensive than the shell or Valero less than a mile down the street. Blows my mind that people use it constantly.
