I always laugh at these tax carve outs or reduced registration fees or whatever perk many states give for heavy vehicles over a certain weight. It’s so incredibly dumb. While I’m sure they were originally intended for things like contractors, farmers, or small businesses that actually need bigger vehicles, I’d wager…

I mean, that is basically how it works in the DC metro area. Ever since the metro lines got expanded out into the suburbs that is exactly what my BIL started to do. Way less stress, faster, and cheaper.

What frustrates me most is when some moron watches this happen yet still lets the offender in because they feel sorry for them. Never reward the selfish, doubly so when they put others at risk!

Almost seems like a building the entire country around fossil fuel powered automobiles was a really bad idea!

I don’t know. Do you think they’re ready? Maybe we should hook them up with some average looking cars first to help build up their confidence before going for the really attractive ones.
