@cubist_zirconia: well you are defending people that are eating into overhead at places I patronize. If you dont know this, the more people do crap like this the more the cost is passed onto other customers, and I do not want to subsidize your lack of internet access while I cant find a place to sit and eat a meal.

@Mr.Anansi: Good point... I stand corrected... I messed around with a similar model (though not as powerful) and it was more pen-sized so I just assumed it was smaller... and you know what happens when you assume.

@CJ Disaffected: When was Steve not an arrogant prick? I mean obviously he has savvy and smarts but come on... At least pretend you arent a complete megalomaniac sociopath.

I guess Steve Jobs will be telling people where they should live so that they experience his products correctly.

@BadassSailor: I wouldnt be so worried about kids so much as stupid adults who dont realize how dangerous it is. Does that mean it should be illegal? No. Should they force you to have to actually somehow read (and maybe take a test or something) so that you know how to use it properly? Probably so.

@Rzah: I dont think that they would... It looks similar in the picture, because there is no scale. In practice though I think this looks much less like a lightsaber.

@floman: agreed... One of my friends got a less powerful but still powerful (strong enough to light a cigarette though we didnt try) laser, and I got the chance to use it. I think that the small laser pointers make people take them for granted, but when I was handling it I was making sure to do it more like a

@cubist_zirconia: yes but if I worked there or owned the place I would be perfectly aware. You must be one of the people that orders a water and thinks that pays your rent for a booth while other patrons are left standing.

@aec007: yeah i cant watch videos at work... whoops.

@aec007: most (maybe all) power lines arent insulated.

@lihab: Thats pretty reasonable. It only really pisses me off when I get my food and have to stand around and wait for someone else to leave, especially since most of the stores would have adequate seating if it werent for campers.

Provided I had money to burn, I could easily see myself getting one (pending reviews and hands-on experience). I hope they bring it to market regardless.

@8oardR1der: I dont know if you are saying that because you disagree with me, or if you are suggesting that this is a good way to get all of the non-paying "patrons" out of the store.

@Realityism ▲: Perfectly stated... Succint and (from what I know) correct. +1

What is especially frustrating about things like this is that a lot of Paneras (esp in Northern VA close to DC) they are so packed that you can have a hard time getting a seat... The reason being that there are always people in there (many of whom dont appear to have paid for anything) doing work on their laptops for

@taoprophet420: Google has proven that, in time, it can be really good at pretty much all of those things so from a business perspective they arent over-expanded or over extended.

@bozack: That was sort of sarcasm, but there is a lot of truth to it as well...

@bozack: Yeah but are those made by Apple?

@funakoshi.gichin.shotokan: You are still talking about functionality though and not just looks. Changing something purely for the sake of aesthetics when it compromises function is just stupid.

Makes sense... I mean paying 1000% more on the case than you would on what its protecting.
