@tylerbrainerd: Maybe more of a comment on the magic of the iPad less so that of matrimony.

@shorty63136: Hmmm... Thats more than I needed to know about your monthly experience...

This is sad on so many levels.

@PenguinTime: Well in that case 15 seconds from what? That makes it even more puzzling...

@ToastyUterus: It should go without saying that rationale is in the eye of the beholder in many cases. I would be speaking from the perspective of what I would say is both a typical westerner reading a gadget blog, and well the majority of humanity.

@LTMP: that sounds like a good plan... IMO too many people are bullish on AAPL and I would rather buy good stock people are selling (as per the Oracles advice).

@Alex Young: I would like to think that as well (and still do for the most part). It does seem, however, that a lot of poeple from other cultures dont prize education (i.e. they dont give a shit) and I do not know how you would go about solving that problem.

@LTMP: I wasnt disagreeing with you, I was just trying to say that that was I thought the misconception persisted.

@balloondoggle: well you should keep in mind that this blog is gadget oriented (with a slant toward Apple). Whenever Apple does something particularly retarded they make sure to call them out, especially if it is funny (and they cover FSJ with some regularity).

@ToastyUterus: not really... that keeps happening in war torn nations all over Africa.

@Killjoy: How else do you make real magic?

@taniquetil: Stock in theory (whatever that means on Wall Street)is supposed to be reflective of the companies actual worth-(all assets included even buildings etc.) otherwise the company can get into a lot of trouble...

@pupaboy3: Most people cant afford Spaghetti-Os after buying all of those things let alone a Mac.

Maybe he was speaking in terms of fiscal years, not realizing that pretty much everyone thinks in calendar year terms when they arent at work?

@balloondoggle: and that lets them and all other companies off the hook by default.

@GitEmDoneSteveDave: well its not just that... Making something harder (MoHs scale-wise) doesnt necessarily make it "stronger", just like making one strength factor better, say tensile strength, you are probably compromising something else.

@ortizlgnd4: That seems like a pretty idealistic observation... The reason new tech is expensive is because of cost drivers (R&D, manufaturing, other overhead) which can only be controlled once they have established production and optimized it as well. The tech inside also gets cheaper over time as well as do most
