It has nothing to do with wear & tear. It has to do with how Melee itself is coded to process the inputs and how the controller sends them. The techniques they use to do things like dash backs and shield drops, the specific 2 techniques that UCF addresses, are inconsistent in Melee. There’s an element of RNG with how…

You couldn’t just... let them use “it” and be whatever they asked? I’m willing to bet that all that happened was that they just wanted to be called “it”. You don’t need to substantially change mechanics just because one person wants to buck gender norms, and frankly, you sound really angry over what seems to me like a…
The use of “third-wave feminist” as an insult—I’m fairly certain you have no idea what sets a third-wave feminist apart from a second-wave feminist—is particularly anti-feminist; the mocking of nonstandard pronouns is immediately transphobic; the assumption that having pro-women, pro-LGBT politics leads directly to…

How dare deadspin publish a post by Mr. Petchesky, with his slavic sounding name, on this, the 5th anniversary of the Ljubljana Marshes hot air balloon crash in Slovenia. I am aghast at the insensitivity.

Coming from a fighting game background, it’s a case where if the exploit wasn’t banned at the tournament (and depending on how the exploit is executed, that may not be a realistic route), it’s fair game. It’d be on the organizers to make that call and the developers to patch it out, if it was to be removed.
As always, Xbox 360 games are yours forever, even if gold lapses. Maybe you might wanna update the template you use to make these posts so that someone doesn’t need to correct you literally every time.
All media is political so it’s literally impossible to remove politics from video games.
Holy shit
OH DEAR GOD.
Time to make this guy canon.

This is good Kinja.
Revali can be as big of an ass as he wants as long as he’s bringing Revali’s Gale to the table. Sometimes you just know you’re better than everyone else. And that’s fine.
