Bullshit. Just google if handshakes spread germs. I have to discreetly wait to wash hands after shaking, as I suffer from an immune disorder. But before I knew I had it, I still hated the gross custom. People leave public restrooms without washing their hands all the time.

This was not a big hello situation with handshakes all around. Not was it business. I'm out in the world quite a bit.

Question: Were you encouraged to initiate a handshake at none or ten? I'm not talking about 15 year olds here.

I'm talking about kids who are 8-12. We taught our daughter, who is under 30, that it was bad form to initiate handshakes from adults she had just met.
