This family did a really terrible job in hiring their nanny. How could they not have done sufficient background checks, before having someone *move into their home*, that they didn't know she was a serial litigant? This seems like it could have easily been avoided with a little more effort in hiring than "you seem

"Jesus turned water into wine. I turned whiskey into vomit. It's basically the same thing and if you were dateable you'd get it."

With a hint of Steve Buscemi in the eyes.

Guy Fieri/Rick Moranis love child?

I know it's petty.... But after (too many) weeks spent at church camp (yeah, it's a thing) during my adolescence listening to terrible dudes saying sexist things and getting laughs, respect, and admiration, this is just a delight to read. So glad to hear that one of the guys from this philosophical lineage: "It's

Well, with a name like that....

The lack of knowledge about organ functions in this thread is scary.

Because money is the only way to get some people to realize to stop screwing up and doing stuff that they aren't suppose to be doing?

You wouldn't want to make a doctor pay through the nose if she removed a major organ without proper informed consent?

WTF? That is neglect if not gross neglect on the part of the doctor. How did the doctor's not have a clear understanding that a complete hysterectomy should only been done with absolute consent and when their was a strong medical justification? Not only should she have received more (though patient's rarely get

and she replied saying that since it was organic, it must be OK.

Not to mention being able to play with any grandchildren! My mom's mad that she's 74 and her grandson is 9. Happily, my 78yo dad will still play with him.

No, sorry, your inane reply is what's pedantic, and it's not even apropos pedantry at that! Anytime you start listing definitions for no reason other than to "disprove" points, you're an asshole. Fact.

That does sound pretty great. My parents took that route, and another positive aspect is that they are still young enough to be really active, engaged, fun grandparents. On the other hand, my SIL had her kids early and basically spent her twenties complaining about how everyone else her age was out having fun and how

That's when I had my kids and I now have empty nest before 50 yo, and I'm ready to start the next phase of my life!

They are an anachronistic throwback that we can gaze at and not pay for. We got rid of their weird asses.

That's how I feel, too. I think FAFSA was actually trying to destigmatize the idea of being poor by making a joke.

Yeah, I didn't find it offensive. I kind of got annoyed in college with all of the euphemisms people used to avoid calling me poor, as though being poor were some sort of shameful insult or slur.

Color me kooky. I thought it was funny. (AND I filled out my FAFSA every year when I was a student.) I guess I'm far enough away from student loans (other than paying them monthly), that it amuses me.
