I hate his movies, and I used to groan when he'd show up to do stand-up at Meltdown, but he seems like a nice guy, and was kind of funny when he wasn't trying too hard.

Right? I've seen him perform standup a few times, and it's never felt clean to me.
Yeahhhhhh, I don't like Apatow either. All his comedy feels so safe/suburban. I like Pete Holmes a lot, so interested to see how this plays out.
I get it about eating out, but I don't get it about movie-going. I go with friends/my partner/family to see movies quite often, but I'm totally happy to also go by myself.
The weirdest movie-going experience I ever had was seeing Anomalisa alone. I mean, REALLY alone… No one else was in the theater. Perfect movie for that. I like seeing movies alone from time to time; I live down the street from a good independent moviehouse where all movies are half-off on Tuesdays, so I end up seeing…
Yup, and in Austin there's also a breastaurant called Bikinis. Very imaginative, right? You can guess what the uniforms are.
LOL yeah I went to Hooters with my best friend in high school who was a recently out lesbian. We had fun; the waitresses seemed happy to be serving a table of all women, and my friend looks like she's 12, so they were amused by her trying to hit on them. Then they made us hats out of tin foil.
Yeah, I get really weirded out by their coupling…
When has modern-day SNL ever been actually funny?
Yeah, I feel like Devonte is a lot more common of a spelling for sure.
My (rather unusual) last name is Welsh, but people always expect me to be Asian (same last name, one letter off)!
Haha, I have Czech ancestors who came to the U.S. in the late 1800s, and it's funny to see how their given names like Vaclav or Bohumil were abandoned in favor of unrelated nicknames like James, Bob, etc.
I agree. (Although I'm okay with it so long as Jane and Raf never get together.)
I sort of feel you. Still think the show is great, but felt like Season 2's plotting/pacing were a bit off.
They're addicts who enable one another… They're great friends, but they are also not doing each other any favors. YIKES… I see bad things coming for both characters next season.
Though the plotting/pacing this season felt a bit off (okay, all over the place), the show's doing excellent things and totally upending so many genre tropes. And just doing so many things no other show on TV has the guts to do.
I didn't LOVE The Affair, but the first two seasons were compelling hate-watching TV for me. Season 3 is straight gar-baj.
Oh, Greg absolutely did the right thing by leaving, for both himself and for her. Her father had no excuse.
I disagree, but then again, I didn't see it until this year. I think I saw too many similar films in the years since this one came out.
Okay, I recently watched "The Ring" for the first time earlier this year, and I thought it was so… bad. Maybe because it feels like so many movies that came after it?
