Yeah, I was like, 15 when their first EP came out and I loved it. Saw 'em at ACL Fest circa 2006? 2007? I forget. They were pretty great. They kind of lost any appeal for me now, though. They're like, THE band of boring people who actually buy CDs at Whole Foods.

It's like all of my dumb friends who buy all of their clothes from MadeWell. Or whatever the hell it's called.

"Gone Girl" was hilarious. (Mostly because the script/dialogue was so stupid.)

It's irritating, because I have friends who are friends with lots of these people. I have been to a few shows where bands like this play, and it makes me feel angry! I think it's the earnestness of it all.

Don't get me wrong! I love cupcakes. I love vegan cupcakes. But I know so many girls here who make gourmet vegan cupcakes for their best friend's wedding and totally want to open their own food truck!

It happened when fratboys started attending Coachella en masse. Somewhere around 2008?

Sure, but plenty of songs that aren't GOOD are catchy.

I think he may wind up quitting his job at the end of this season. That's where I see things going. I suspect if this gets renewed, we won't be seeing Kevin next season, and Patrick will be trying to figure out a new job. (Maybe we'll even see a turning of the tables, with Augustine employed and Patrick looking for

Yeah, someone was saying Patrick was SOOOO booksmart/cultured compared to Richie, but homie didn't know who Mrs. Dalloway is. I never saw Patrick as all that into arts/culture. I don't see him as all that motivated careerwise, compared to Richie either. Patrick as a job that pays more, but he doesn't seem like he has

Agreed… My sister shares that cliched status like, 3x a year (whenever she and her serious boyfriend of the moment get into a fight, defriend each other on Facebook and make up again a few days later).

Well, we're seeing things through Patrick's eyes, so it makes sense that we're not digging Brady. (Also, we've yet to see extended scenes of Brady and Richie together.)

He sort of is a Marnie, personality/relationship-wise! I'm just glad he doesn't think he's gonna make it as a singer.

Yeah, when I graduated from college, I was deciding between San Francisco and Austin as a city to set up shop in for a few years. Ended up in Austin because SF rent is insane (and Austin is a pretty magical place), but I am a little sad to be so far from all of my high school/college friends who moved up there.

True as well, re Patrick and Kevin. Will be interesting to see what happens with all of this.

I agree. They seem terrible together, to the point where I can't see that they ever would have liked each other.

Yeah, Avett meets Mumford meets American Authors meets Ed Sheeran. Blah.

"Gone Girl" wasn't even THAT well-done.

I thought that was amusing, at least, in how cringey the whole thing was.

Because the jokes you're forced to say are terrible. You have to spend half the telecast saying them, and the other half looking humiliated/apologetic.

Nah, I think it's far from Anderson's best work. Did enjoy it a lot, though.
