This is exactly it! He seems like someone who greatly fears disappointing people… especially his parents.

Great episode, and great review. UGH — weddings like this one are exactly the reason I do not see myself getting married, even if I do support marriage equality. (Seems like a whole lot of ceremony and forced interactions with relatives I really don't like, not to mention throwing a lot of money down the tube,…
Ugh, Glee. Is that show still on?
Man, the US QAF was just SO bad. I tried watching it because I felt like I should, but I hated it. Just as bad as the L Word. Hysterics, over the top, all over the place. I love that Looking doesn't try to be like QAF. (I will have to check out the UK version, I guess.)
I liked the comeuppance, but I can't imagine how this character could ever be tolerable?
Am I the only one who doesn't like CJ? Meh. Maybe I'm just not into that plot line.
I think maybe they'll have some sort of fight before finding their way back to one another? I do think there's still more interesting material to be mined from their relationship.
Me too… but given Patrick's tendency to say all the wrong things, do you think he'll mention what happened with Kevin?
Yeah, Lynn's advice was very sound… He totally should be out front putting on a good face in front of potential investors. To quote Abby from "Broad City" — ADOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY.
Me too, kind of… but Richie! I was actually very proud of Patrick… and very surprised he resisted.
It would feel roomier if they got rid of Augustin. Just saying!
Yes! I think Kevin is totally adorable, but I don't like that he's trying to use Patrick as his way out of a relationship he's grown tired of. And I was proud of the way Patrick handled it. I was actually full-on expecting him and Kevin to make out, and for there to be a big fallout with Richie over it, which would…
YES to all of this. (Especially adding Bev and subtracting Augustin. I seriously cannot stand him, and think he and his plot are harming the overall show. There could have been room for a tamer version of this character who wasn't quite so over the top.)
That's what this show and "The X-Files" have in common to me. Sure, there's the "solving crimes" angle, but the characters and their motivations are much more interesting.
*Smirks*
Stick with it — it's definitely worth it. I am pretty intolerant of most of NBC's current programming, but this is supreme. It shouldn't even be on NBC. They're stupid. They'll probably cancel it.
This season, Hannibal gets a new job as prison chef.
Feeds "mushroom." *(Is actually tiny piece of human liver.)*
SO GLAD IT'S BACK! Love what they're doing with "Hannibal." Reminds me a lot of "The X-Files," using the killer-of-the-week format without losing track of its characters. Very dark, but somewhat surreal and fun.
I'm mostly kidding. He has had a bunch of great coworkers who are fun people, too.
